Because the Yufeng mountain in this park looks like a saddle (Chinese meaning: 马鞍; pīnyīn: mǎ’ān) and is distinctive within a hundred miles, this park was named Ma’anshan Park in 1906. In 1936, it was renamed Tinglin Park in memory of the 17th-century scholar Gu Yanwu, who is also widely called Gu Tinglin. It covers an area of more than 850 acres with green mountains and clear waters. ==Brief Introduction== The same as many other historic buildings, Tinglin Park has a long history and there are a good many places of interest in it, which attract thousands of tourists every year.
